The Copper Coffee Table
I made this coffee table from a single black walnut slab sourced locally here in Ohio. A combination of copper and black colors in the resin flow together to complement the natural beauty of the walnut wood. The beautiful hand made metal legs attach with removable bolts.
The fractal pattern on the slab is made by inducing 2,000 volts of electricity into the wood. I filled the unique pattern with the same copper color resin that is in the river portion. You can still feel the outline of the burn on the table surface.
The beauty of this walnut slab is preserved using a high quality natural looking finish called Rubio mono coat. I added a second layer of sheen and protection to this piece with a ceramic coating. This finish is very durable and looks great!
Dimensions:
37”x 27”x 18”
There is a YouTube video of this table being built available on my YouTube : https://youtu.be/bOfa-f6fyLA
